GET "FIT" (Functional Integrated Training)
Our program incorporates “FIT” into every exercise class. So, what is FIT?
Originally developed for rehabilitation purposes it concentrates on movement patterns and the natural biomechanics of body to handle real life situations. The key to functional exercise is integration and adaptation, it teaches the muscles to work together rather than isolating them to work independently. This allows the individual to perform the activities of daily life or sports easily and with less chance of injury.
Setting you up for a lifetime of fitness …
Functional Integrated Training takes all the best tools and trends in exercise to help the body have better muscular balance and joint stability.
In functional training, it is as critical to train the specific movement as it is to train the muscles involved in the movement. It’s training and fitness for life.
Training your body and making gains …
This approach to training and the unique techniques used are demonstrated by all qualified functional fitness practitioners.
• Corrective and Functional Training
• Body Composition Change
• Nutrition and Lifestyle
• Hypertrophy
• Strength and Conditioning
• Core Stability
• Posture and Flexibility
• Injury Pre-Rehabilitation
The body is the only structure where there are no spare parts available, so there are benefits to respecting it and ensuring it performs and functions to its best ability throughout our lifetimes. To do so we must look at its performance and capabilities holistically to achieve your optimal results.

"I’ve been a SweatFit member since the beginning, March of 2016, and it has literally and figuratively CHANGED MY LIFE in those 17 months. Confession: I have always hated exercise and fitness clubs and gyms intimidated me, so imagine my surprise when I got hooked on Julia’s Zumba class which was the gateway drug to this total life transformation of working out 5 days a week and LOVING it. I’ve never been a morning person but now my day feels incomplete and sad unless I start it with a 6am SweatFit class, I honestly don’t even know who I am these days?!?! Oh wait, yes I do…..I’m a 39 year old who is in the best shape of my life (even my 17 year old high metabolism self pales in comparison) and who finally understands all the hype around this diet and exercise thing! And you know what? That wouldn’t have happened without Julia and SweatFit.
When I joined it was kind of a last ditch effort to do something, anything, to try and stop the runaway train that was my weight gain that no matter what “diet” I tried I just could not seem to lose, lack of energy, some minor health issues and my ever slowing metabolism (late 30’s can be so mean, friends). I am a working mom of 3 active teenagers, who lives on a farm and is married to a military husband who is often gone on missions and training so my excuse had always been “I’m too busy” and “I don’t have time”. But when the 6am class was offered, it fit my schedule perfectly as it was really the only time in my day I could fit it in, so I got on board and decided to go all in…5 days a week…from the beginning because knowing myself I knew if I didn’t go “all or nothing”, I’d let other things take precedence and be right back where I started. After only a few weeks, I realized I had found my place, my people, my inner warrior and started looking forward to class each day. Then after a few months I started reaping some of the physical benefits which sealed the deal that I was now one of those people who loved working out, trust me no one was more surprised by this than me! Now almost a year and a half later, the changes in my body, mind, spirit ( and muscles!) are abundant. I’ve lost inches (9 “+ gone!), body fat (5% lost), pounds (19 pounds dropped since March 2016!), and sizes (3 to be exact!) but more importantly, I’ve gained confidence, strength, muscles (I really love having muscles), friends, and experiences (I’ve hiked to the top of 8 mountains and hundreds of miles since starting my fitness journey, something out of shape me could’ve never done or even thought of doing but am now addicted to doing ). I love the variety of classes as there’s no chance to get bored since the format and focus varies daily, the one on one attention and motivation from the instructors whether during the workout or outside of the gym with nutrition tips and check ins, the intimate atmosphere, and the camaraderie and accountability shared with my SweatFit squad who inspire and challenge me daily. Thanks to Julia, I’ve also learned so much about food and nutrition and how best to fuel my body to kill those workouts, which for me means eating cleaner and drinking 6+ liters of water a day, which has played a large part in my results. Results that aren’t limited to just pounds and inches but also include increased energy, better sleep, clearer skin, acid reflux and digestive issues GONE, 2-3 headaches a week GONE, back pain GONE, the list goes on, but in general a sense of enhanced wellness and health that I haven’t experienced before with any other diet or exercise program. SweatFit is not a quick fix program, it is a lifestyle change with lasting and far reaching results. I’m so glad I jumped!"

"After years of more happy hours than happy days, I made the decision to take control of my health. A few months after getting my nutrition on track, I finally had the energy and mindset to tackle the “going to the gym” hurdle. My past gym membership experience was short and not so sweet. Five years ago, I joined another local fitness center to achieve my body goals for an upcoming vacation. But when that vacation came and went, so did my motivation to go back. My experience has been much different at SweatFIT.
I joined SweatFIT in April 2016. Since that time, I have developed a love for fitness and found a strength in myself both physically and mentally that I didn’t know was there. I love the people and the class format and options. I need variety and the 6 AM class gives me a good mix of cardio and strength so that I don’t get bored. Who would have thought that I’d enjoy getting up for 6 AM workouts?! Julia is there ready to motivate, encourage, and push me to the next level. I began training for my first half marathon shortly after starting SweatFIT classes and completed it in October 2016. My SweatFIT classes were critical in giving me the endurance that I needed for those 13.1 miles.
For all things in life, having a community of support is critical for success. The people at SweatFIT have given me the support and encouragement to help me set and reach my goals. Now, I have new goals and I know that this crew will keep me accountable and the classes will challenge me to crush them! At SweatFIT, I feel apart of a community and look forward to seeing my friends at class and cheering them on to reach their goals."

"In January, I started SweatFit with Mark and Julia. They immediately treated me like family and were truly excited to help get me on track with my fitness. Every month, I became stronger and faster. The SweatFit team kept me motivated and pushed me to do a little more than the day before. Last week I rode Ragbrai, 420 miles across Iowa in 7 days. This has been a goal of mine for years, and this year I was ready. I'm thankful to my SweatFit family for helping equip me with the positive mindset, strength, and endurance to finish every last mile. And this is only the beginning of the ride."

Let me start by saying I HATE to work out!! I came to class with Julia in a leg brace and 15 lbs heavier. She makes our classes so much fun I think I have only missed 2 classes in 9 months!! I love it and hate to miss. I don't need a leg brace anymore because of my increased quad strength and I am happy I can wear a tank top now because of my weight loss and toned arms!! The best part of all- we have TONS of fun!!

I've recently joined the SweatFit Club this year. I've been to several different classes and I really enjoy them. The groups are small but supportive. The instructors are engaging and making sure you are doing the workout with all you got. I absolutely love it and trying different classes. You've got to try POUND sometime and the Zumba classes. Heck, I recommend trying them all.
